Metals and Digital Assets Are Great Partners

There's something to be said about financial independence. It's a goal I think most of us have. We all know Hive offers a unique opportunity to earn rewards. One of my phrases is "be your own bank," and that's no different here on Hive. To be your own bank, I believe there are multiple ways to accomplishing this, but two are most important in my goals.

Physical Metals
A good base starts with the tangible precious metals. Gold and silver are the original money. Thousands of years later they're still considered valuable.

Holding your wealth in your hands is the purest definition of not depending on a third party. There are no contracts that can be broken or servers that can be shut down. It is the foundation.

Digital Assets
The physical and digital worlds don’t have to be at odds. On the contrary, they complement each other. The second step is building digital assets. It is the digitization of our finances that makes transactions fast, and able to transcend international boundaries.

Security
In the blockchain ecosystem, and especially in Hive, our private keys are the modern equivalent of our silver and gold vault. Whoever possesses the keys has absolute control over funds, digital identity, and their voice. Safeguarding it just as equally as my physical metals is important to maintaining a secure balance.

Harmony
When these two are used to compliment each other, I find maximum flexibility. I can store assets free from risk with metals, while quickly moving digital assets around through Hive, Hive-Engine and Magi.
