Amazing Taishan 大美泰山

Living at the foot of Taishan, I have only once been to Taishan, but I have not reached the mountain top—the Jade Emperor Peak.

That day, there was a drizzle in the sky, I escorted my niece and daughter to the mountain. Except the scenery on the stone path, there were only the tourists passing by, the valleys and trees beside us, failing to appreciate the real beauty of Taishan.

When we reached the South Gate to Heaven, my daughter was too tired to move ahead. Pressed for time, we hurried back by the cableway.

This is my first trip to Taishan, which was in the rain. Thinking of it every time, it is a unique, exciting experience.

A diplomatic strategy of "befriending the far and attacking the near" means that one country should associate with the distant countries and attack the near ones. In other words, that is to give heat treatment to things far away, and cold treatment nearby.

Isn't it so that people treat tourism? There are many people living at the foot of Taishan, who have never climbed Taishan, but traveled a long distance to Hainan, Harbin, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places. Because of the near distance, one can go any time without planning and preparation. Instead, traveling to places far away is a different thing. Time, personnel, expenses, physical condition should be taken into consideration.

Attractions nearby will not fly away, so there is no need to hurry.

身居泰山脚下，我却只登过一次泰山，还未到达山顶。

那是陪外甥女和女儿去的。天上下着蒙蒙的细雨，除了山道上的景色，就是擦肩而过的游客和旁边的山谷、树木了，并没有领略到泰山的真正美景。

我们爬到南天门时，女儿就累得不行了，又因时间关系，便匆匆乘索道返回了，未到玉皇顶。

这是我的第一次登泰山，且在雨中，想来也别有一番情趣。

外交上有种策略叫“远交近攻”，就是联络距离远的国家，进攻邻近的国家。通俗地讲，就是对距离远的热处理，对距离近的冷处理。

人们对待旅游不也正是这样吗？居住在泰山脚下的人也有一些没有爬过泰山，却不远千里到海南、哈尔滨、四川、贵州等地去旅游。正因距离近，随时都可以去，不用做计划准备。反而，去远的地方就不同了。时间、人员、花费、身体状况等条件都要考虑。

近处的景点不会飞走，所以大可不必慌张了。
