A Boat to the Island.
Following Manny's death, Abby left the room and engaged in a brutal cinematic struggle with the sniper, revealed to be Tommy. Abby pushed him into the ocean before escaping by boat with Yara. Arriving at the Seraphite island, we tracked Lev's path, climbing a massive ladder toward the upper bridge.
After losing Manny, Abby was in total shock. So I tried to be as prepared as I could before getting out of that room. But right after getting out, the sniper caught me off guard as he was just waiting on the other side.
When Abby was struggling with the sniper in the cinematic part, I noticed it was Tommy, the brother of Joel. Which tells me, he was out here looking for revenge or for Ellie.
In the struggle, Abby pushed Tommy off the platform and he fell directly into the ocean, plunging heavily into the churning, dark gray water far below the observation deck.
At that very moment, Yara appeared at the scene and asked Abby if she was okay. I know Abby was not okay as she just lost all of her best friends, but yet she said she was okay, wiping the blood from her cheek as she tried to regain her composure.
Then they noticed a boat on the dock that Abby started driving for the island. The gray, misty weather hung low over the water as the small motorboat cut through the choppy waves, while I just sat back and was watching the heavy atmosphere settle in.
So after reaching the island, we started walking on foot and were still wet, and I looked back to see the place we left was not so far at all, because it was just a distance of a bridge that was collapsed, its fractured concrete pillars rising out of the mist.
And on our way to the island, we found the boat that Lev brought to get here. And then we started running ahead while I was appreciating the scenic beauty of the island, tracking the narrow mud trail through the towering pines and dense ferns.
Then we reached this bridge that had a big ladder where Abby couldn't hold Yara this time as they should stick together. So Yara started climbing up with her one hand first, carefully hoisting her weight up each wooden rung despite her severe injury.
Then I started following Yara on the ladder, hoping she won't fall on me, and I was also hoping there won't be any set of fights waiting to ambush us above the bridge, keeping a cautious eye on the dark ledge directly overhead.
We'll check what happens next in another post.
