The Nightmare Manifests.

While searching for medical supplies, I followed a ominous trail of destruction. After finding a fully stocked med kit inside an abandoned ambulance, Abby was suddenly ambushed by a massive, conjoined infected monstrosity, forcing a frantic escape from the vehicle to run for her life.

Driven by pure curiosity, I opened fire on the heavily infected growth on the wall to see if the noise would draw any Stalkers out of hiding, but absolutely nothing emerged, and the wall itself was far too thick for me to find a way inside.

Deciding to abandon that dead end, I moved around to the opposite side of the area and discovered a massive security gate that had been violently forced open, with heavy bloodstains suggesting that something incredibly massive and monstrous had recently broken through.

The trail eventually led me down into the dark parking lot of the hospital building, where I noticed the thick blood splatters leading off into a dark corridor, but I simply did not have the courage to follow that specific path alone.

Instead, I turned my attention to the rest of the parking lot and spotted an abandoned ambulance that looked like it had crashed during the initial chaos. I approached the vehicle and pried the rear doors open, though the sudden movement caused a loose object to slide forward and nearly strike Abby in the face.

After squeezing myself completely inside the cramped interior of the ambulance, I began searching through the storage compartments and opened a drawer to find an intact, fully stocked medical kit containing all the essential tools required to perform surgery on Yara.

Right as I secured the supplies, we heard a massive, terrifying noise echoing from within the hospital structure, indicating that a massive creature was charging directly toward our position, before a literal nightmare of a monster suddenly slammed against the vehicle, and its a Rat King.

The horrifying creature looked like multiple infected bodies fused together into a single, massive entity operating as a collective whole, and as it tore into the back of the ambulance to reach Abby, she desperately kicked her way through the side door to escape.

Once Abby managed to scramble out of the wreckage of the ambulance, she completely exposed in the open parking lot with the massive abomination roaring right behind her, leaving me with no choice but to sprint blindly forward to survive the Rat King.
