Glowbu Kabins: The Unexpected Truth About Running a Kubo Cabin Rental Business
Hello there, amazing people! So, where do I even begin? It feels like a lifetime (or at least a couple of months – who's counting?) since my last post. Remember when I was all, "Hey, we're starting this little kubo cabin rental business called Glowbu Kabins!"? Yeah, well…that happened. Let's just say my husband and I have been living the "sleep when you're dead" lifestyle. We're talking zero employees, just two slightly sleep-deprived humans running a whole operation. Time? Our biggest enemy. Seriously, if time were a person, we'd be having a very awkward, tense standoff.
So anyway, we officially opened right around New Year's – talk about jumping into the deep end! Starting a business is HARD. Like, "I-questioned-all-my-life-choices" hard. But hey, we're stubborn (or maybe just crazy?), so we're pushing through! Getting ourselves seen out there is a whole other adventure—think of it as a never-ending game of hide-and-seek where we're the ones desperately trying to be found. That's why I've been missing-in-action from my beloved Hive blog. Blogging? Yeah, that's been on the back burner, simmering gently while we frantically juggle bookings, cleaning, repairs, and enough caffeine to power a small town. But guess what? Today, we have six guests and it's a hump day! Not bad, huh? We have 6 kubo cabins and each is good for 2They're currently enjoying the glorious beach, leaving me with a precious few minutes to actually write something. I've missed this! Seriously, writing is my happy place. It's like a mini-vacation for my brain.
So, three months in, and Glowbu Kabins is officially chugging along! It's been a wild, crazy ride, filled with more challenges than I ever imagined, but also with moments of pure joy and satisfaction. Seeing happy guests enjoying our little slice of paradise? Priceless.
So… planning a trip to the awesome surfing paradise of La Union (Elyu)? Hold up a second before you book that crammed hostel or overpriced resort! Let me introduce you to our humble Kubo cabins, Glowbu Kabins—your secret weapon for an unforgettable Elyu escape. Forget fighting for space on a crowded beach. We're talking six simple air-conditioned kubo cabins, each perfectly sized for two adults (and their serious need for relaxation). Think comfy and cool vibe. We're tucked away on a super chill, private property. No noisy neighbors, just the gentle sound of waves and the occasional smooth barks from our resident guard dog Boomer but that's just for him to say hi. And the best part? We're just a short stroll from the beach. Seriously, you can practically smell the salty air from your kubo cabin! we're not sugar-coating here. Just pure bliss.
Now, let's talk about the real magic: the price! We keep our rates super affordable, starting at just 1500 pesos per kubo on regular days and 1800 pesos on holidays. That's right, you can experience tranquil kubo living without breaking the bank. And here's the cherry on top: you'll be greeted by the friendliest, most hands-on owners you'll ever meet. That's my husband and me, haha ready to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect. We're not just owners; we're your Elyu adventure buddies!
