Up Up and a Truffle ~ My journey into smart contract coding.

Truffle. Something you eat? well usually, But in this case a Coding-IDE to program smart contracts. The thought journey has been quite amazing. and I would like to tell you more about it. Not so much about the Truffle IDE.

It started with the thought of. " I would like to have a blockchain qualification" my line is SEO so I had my doubts if I would be able to make heads or tails. I signed up for a blockchain specialization certificate that is broken into 4 sub certificates.

  1. Blockchain basics.
  2. Smart Contracts
  3. Decentralized Applications
  4. Well, I am still busy with number 4.

I completed the first 2 within 3 weeks. they were supposed to be 4 weeks each. and well.. ok, I fudged the 2nd project a bit. I did some research and found the code on a Git. Now I am not proud of that but to do the course one needs to have a little background in Java. Seeing that I did some coding back in the late 1900's I thought that I would be ok.

Needless to say, syntax got the best of me and It's not like I want to become a blockchain coder. So I passed my project haha. Brilliant I thought to myself.

Then project 3. Lead me down a rabbit hole. I discovered a Dapp marketplace for ETH. most likely there are others. But I just could not get enough of it. Opening project after project trying to figure out what it's about.

So.. in short. Within 3 weeks, I managed to launch my own token. well to date I have launched 3 tokens. haha. Based on 3 Ideas I have. Not that I want to pursue them all. But it was so exciting to launch tokens, I could not stop at one. haha

  1. I launched a token called "Digital Nomad Village" [DNV]
    https://wizard.poa.network/crowdsale?addr=0x84492701f83Ec2C55a334Bc630e763cDAEc38958&networkID=1
The premise: It will be a token for a digital nomad to use as a universal currency with a network of communities providing lodging and workspace food and local travel for DS's worldwide. ( with a strong emphasis on the community as the whole idea behind this is, skills transfers. But I will cover this in more depth in another post.

  2. I launched a token called "MyWill" [WILL]
    https://wizard.poa.network/invest?addr=0xB17a4cEbEDacdf211dA226Df481cC42FDA3C9720&networkID=1
I didn't consider the possibility that someone else might have done this. and it was only much later that I saw that there is already a [WILL] token on others can.

  3. I launched a token called "How to use tokens" [HTUT]
    https://wizard.poa.network/invest?addr=0x8598e9695031574b43f76bE9F7FF5a2F09684411&networkID=1
The first two had a start date in the future. So I thought to myself, I want a token that pays out all the tokens to me. and everyone I meet I can give them tokens and give them the experience. even if the tokens are useless the knowledge of the experience will be worth something.
So We will see but I if all goes well then by tomorrow I will have 800 billion HTUT tokens on my eth address. hahaha
I will confirm this in my next post and will start handing them out.

*Disclaimer. None of these was done with the mindset of.. ooh perhaps the tokens will moon.. no no. I was just playing and I honestly don't expect these to achieve anything any time soon. altho. I would love to develop the DNV coin. I like that Idea.

I will end this post here. I will take some time to formulate my next post. I want to talk about the blockchain fundraising and ico launch options that are available. and .. ooh so much more.. I think I might actually start blogging on Steem now.

1 year later I have learned so much more. and I would love to share what I know.

Right now. I am still building my site https://realandworks.com and despite the way the site looks I still have no customers. I launched the site in December and will start my campaigns soon. New users are registering on a daily base so at least that is starting to pick up. haha. (so much to learn so little time)

I'm just pasting these because I see other people do it.
