We know it isn’t good to kill. It is also stated in the commandment that thou shall not kill your fellow brothers and sisters. It doesn’t matter if they were born by your mum or not, we shouldn’t just kill.

As a security guard, your first and foremost duty is to protect the lives and properties of people. Is it a sin to now protect your life? No! It isn’t. If you were given s gun to face people who are causing atrocities in the country, you have to do so.

So what if those terrorists decide to kill you? So, you have to protect yourself. Even though the Bible doesn’t support killing, it isn’t a sin to protect yourself. In the Bible, self defense isn’t a sin.
If you check the book of Moses, it is written in there that it is not a bad thing to accidentally kill another man all in the name of protecting yourself or self defense.

Numbers 35:10-11 says; Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan

Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares.

And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.

So, when you accidentally kill someone, there is a place called a land of refuge. It is a mistake and as long as you didn’t do it intentionally, God will find a way to forgive you.

He is a merciful God and will forgive you.
