Hello everyone

Our houses can be decorated in different forms starting from even our door steps, today, I have decided to make this beautiful and colorful footmat to decorate my door step from some of those pieces of fabric that was meant to be disposed, now I'm giving those pieces of fabric a second chance and a new life as well. I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome as you can see how lovely it looks at my door step.

Join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process.

From those fabric scraps, I measured and cut out 13 pieces of different fabrics measuring 16 x 3 inches

I took those pieces of fabric one after the other and it was taken to my sewing machine where they were sewn together

All the 13 pieces from different fabrics were sewn together one after the other

It was folded in two on equal side and I marked 16 inches round it from one end to the other

I traced out the 16 inches and it was cut out

Next step was to placed it on a lining to cut out same shape

Both were taken to my sewing machine where I sew the lining on the right side of the fabric and it was sewn round leaving an opening where it can be turned to the right side

It was turned to the right side through the opening I left and it was neatly ironed

Finally, it was top stitched round as well as on the opening for a neat finishing.

You can see how beautiful my foot mat looks when placed at my door step, I hope you like the beautiful outcome of the craft idea I made from my scrap fabric.
