𧩠Zagonauts Challenge #2 β Count the Squares!
π Solution to Challenge #1
Thank you all for joining the very first Zagonauts Challenge! Letβs reveal the mystery!
The word Zagonaut is a combination (a portmanteau) of two parts:
- Zagonetka β a Serbian word meaning riddle, puzzle, enigma.
- Astronaut β originally from Greek (astron = star + nautes = sailor), and well known in English as βspace traveler.β
So, a Zagonaut is essentially βa traveler through riddlesβ β one who sails through puzzles, enigmas, and mysteries. π𧩠We are Zagonauts! π
Congratulations to everyone who participated β even wrong guesses show creativity, and thatβs exactly the spirit of Zagonauts!
β¬οΈ Zagonauts Challenge #2 β Count the Squares!
Look at a simple 4Γ4 square grid (like a tic-tac-toe, but larger).
Question: How many distinct squares are there in total?
π Count all sizes!
First correct answer gets highlighted in the next post and we will make some introduce blog about him/her. I think this is a nice way to connect with each other. What do you think about that? π
Good luck, Zagonauts β happy counting! β¨
