29 is the new 26! (:

Helloooo everyoneeee, greetings from a brand-new twenty-six-year-old! Okay, I'm lying a little, I admit it, just by a few years moree. xD I turned 29 a few days ago, on June 15th, actually. Yaaay! ☺️ Do I feel more serious at this age? Of courseeee not, in my head I'm still somewhere around 16.

My birthday was on Monday and the day before that my cousin and my fiancé’s sister arrived at our place. Then on Monday, after my sister finished work, she and her boyfriend came and with them came the cake my parents had sent me from home. Homemade by my mom, and my dad picked the sour cherries, so they both took part in making it. 🥰 Along with that, of course, little gifts, money and birthday wishes from everyone; my grandma, grandpa, uncle, aunt, other cousins... 😊 I added those to the ones I already got from my cousin, my fiancé’s sister, his parents and his grandmother and neatly arranged all the gift bags in the room. 🤗

Since I've always been little confused whenever my birthday was approaching, never really thinking too much about the organization, I forgot the candles this year too. It's not really important to me, but this was the first year I actually thought, hey, I could blow something out and make a wish, so as a joke we put three big New Year's sparklers on the cake xD. In the photo below, my cousin and I are trying to blow them out and, guess what, we didn't manage to do it. 😄

As it was getting dark soon, we spent that night sipping homemade brandy rakija, beer, Somersby, listening to real folk music from previous century and singing along together as if we were at a concert or in a great traditional tavern.

I haven't mentioned the food, we prepared some meat, mashed potatoes, salads, while for those of us observing the St. Peter's Fast, there was carp. All the food was very niceeee and delicious. ☺️

Here, my sister and I are trying to pose nicely for a photo, but either we were moving too fast or the photographer was drunk, and it was probably both, to be honest. xD Anyway, the next day, since it was a beautiful sunny day, we invited a few more people and went down to our pond to fire up the barbecue. 😄

That day, we were really taking it easy and enjoying lovely sunny day, eating, having drinks, fishing, mostly catching small fish that we immediately released, along with a few bigger ones. We threw one of them on the grill after all the meat, ćevapi, chicken, and sausages, but before that, I had brought a piece of already prepared carp for myself and enjoyed a nice lunch out in nature.

I’ll post a few more photos so you can get a sense of what it was like for us, there's no need to describe each one individually, as I usually do. xD On the third day, my sister's boyfriend and I went down to the pond again to fish and enjoy our morning double espresso. It's really nice when you have a place like this close to home. It's there, but not right next to the house, so you still get that feeling of being away and relaxing in nature, while it's easy to reach. When the sun gets too strong and you want some shade, you can just head back to the house and come back later in the afternoon. That's usually what we do.

Sometimes even more than ten times a day, and then people are surprised when they see that I've lost quite a bit of weight. Well, how could I not? Go get some water, go get a coffee, we forgot the table, bring the sun umbrella, take the dirty plates back, go put the speaker on the charger, go get the speaker once it's charged... haha....

That's all for this birthday blog. Sending lots of love to all of you, along with a virtual slice of my delicious birthday cherry cake. Kisses 😘
And thanks for reading!
