Community Driven Improvements Across Spl Stats

Welcome back everyone,

We are back again with another update for the Splinterlands Statistics tool (https://spl-stats.com).

This release is a collection of smaller improvements across the site. They might not be the biggest headline features, but they are the kind of quality of life updates that make using the tools just a little smoother every day.

A lot of these changes came directly from community feedback. I always try to give credit to the people who bring ideas to my attention. If I accidentally forgot to mention someone, my apologies. I truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to leave comments, report bugs, or suggest new features.

With my holiday coming to an end, I'm heading back to my normal day job. During my vacation I had a bit more free time to build and release features quickly. Going forward the pace will probably slow down a little, but I'll keep improving the tools whenever I can. ๐Ÿ˜„

Before we jump into the changes, one small reminder.

Even though I spend a lot of time testing everything, every third party tool should always be used with care. Some situations are difficult for me to test because I simply don't have the required cards, assets, or enough funds to reproduce every possible scenario.

Always double check the transactions you are about to sign, whether that is buying cards, combining cards, staking, or any other action.

That isn't just advice for my tools. It applies to every third party Splinterlands application out there. Stay safe.

Without further ado, let's dive into the updates.

๐Ÿ™Œ Support the Project

Building these tools takes a lot of time and also infra cost.

I want to keep everything free so if you want to support:

Jackpot Prize Updates

One of the first additions is a small update to the Jackpot Prizes page.

https://spl-stats.com/jackpot-prizes/frontier-extra-rewards

Thanks to a suggestion from ourfadedglory@ourfadedglory, the new COMMUNITY_JACKPOT bucket is now included. This keeps the page more complete and makes it easier to follow every jackpot category.

Market Asset Improvements

The Market Assets page now shows the circulating supply for grouped assets.

This was requested by both ourfadedglory@ourfadedglory and jovak@jovak (Gathering the Magic).

The data comes directly from the grouped API, so for most assets such as skins it works perfectly. There are still a few assets where the reported numbers look a little strange, such as Nightmare Packs, but the Splinterlands team is already aware of those inconsistencies.

Investment Tracker Improvements

The investment tracker received several usability improvements.

Investment Notes

Requested by nopeace4u@nopeace4u.

Every investment can now contain a short personal note of up to 140 characters.

You can add notes while creating deposits or withdrawals, and edit them later directly from the investment dialog.

Perfect for reminding yourself why you made a certain investment.

Better Charts

Portfolio charts now use proper SI formatting.

Instead of large numbers overflowing the chart you'll now see values like:

  • $500k
  • $1.25M

Much easier to read at a glance.

Performance Improvements

Behind the scenes I also improved performance.

Portfolio snapshots and investment history are now cached per user and automatically refreshed whenever investments change.

That means fewer database scans and noticeably faster page loads.

Collection Improvements

https://spl-stats.com/collection/cards

This release contains quite a few improvements for the Collection pages.

Hard Refresh Collection

Collection data is cached to keep the site responsive.

Sometimes, after buying or combining cards, you simply want to force a refresh.
I use it when i do some action and get back to spl-stats sometimes i need the refreshed card collection directly.

You can now do exactly that with the new Refresh button on:

  • Collection โ†’ Cards
  • Collection โ†’ Buy Missing CC

To avoid unnecessary load there is a 60 second cooldown.

Account Management

Managing saved accounts is now a little easier.

Each locally saved account now has its own โœ• remove button, so you no longer have to first select an account before deleting it.

Small change. Nice quality of life improvement.

Show Prices

Collection Cards now includes a Show Prices checkbox.

When enabled you'll immediately see:

  • Number of listings
  • Lowest BCX price
  • Lowest single BCX price

directly alongside your cards.
Need sorting just switch to table view!

Table Mode

Sometimes scrolling through card tiles just isn't the fastest way to browse your collection.

You can now switch between the traditional grid view and a new Table View.

The table includes sortable columns such as:

  • Name
  • Edition
  • Foil
  • Level
  • BCX
  • Optional market prices

Personally I already find myself using this mode quite often. You can sort on the columns and this is reminded in the card tile view as well so you can switch back and forward.

Allow Extra Copies

One feature I personally wanted for a while.
https://spl-stats.com/collection/buy-missing-cc

Normally when a card is already max level there isn't much reason to buy more.

Unless...

...you need additional copies for Land.

The Target Level dialog now includes an Allow Extra Copies option that lets you calculate the cost of purchasing another complete BCX set even when your card is already maxed.

Navigation Update

One request I kept hearing over and over...
https://spl-stats.com/

"Can you link your two sites together?"

So I finally did. ๐Ÿ˜„

Both sites now include references to each other, making it much easier to jump between:

  • spl-stats.com
  • land.spl-stats.com

Bug Fix

Only one bug fix this release, but it was an important one.

Combine Validation

The combine logic for wagon cards has been updated.

Validation and card selection now follow exactly the same wagon rules:

  • Only one wagon card may participate in a combine.
  • Wallet cards are always consumed first.

This removes situations where combines were incorrectly rejected because the validator believed too many wagon cards were being used.

Closing Thoughts

As always, thank you to everyone who continues to use the tools, report bugs, suggest features, and leave feedback.

Many of the improvements in this update started as a simple comment on Hive, Discord, X, or during a livestream. Those conversations really help shape the direction of the project.

I can't promise every suggestion will make it into the site, and I certainly can't promise they'll all be implemented quickly. With my regular job taking priority again, development will naturally slow down a bit.

That said, I do read every suggestion and keep a growing list of ideas. Even if something doesn't happen immediately, there's a good chance it ends up in a future release.

So please keep the feedback coming. Every bug report, feature request, and comment helps make the tools a little better for everyone.

Until next time.
