SmAugust? 1 - Terrarium

Hello hello ^^ Long time no see again ;;w;; I am around less and less these days because of work and psonal reasons ;;-;;
I really wanted to post daily but like I also know that I am barely present for myself on some days so what more to be present here.
So August is here! I was supposed to do a Drawgust but then I saw this art activity summary on Pinterest a few weeks back and saw this SmAugust idea and apparently I focuses on dragons as a tribute to Smaugfrom lords of the rings and I thought, why the hell not?? I love dragons and I could maybe motivate me? Again,I'm not sure because I draw slower now and have lesser time and mental capacity to actually sit and draw as compared to the previous years plus I have a long ass vacation and fieldwork coming up this month so.... God knows how long I can keep up with things this time.

Going back to the prompts, day 1 I terrarium ^^ and I wanted to do this little bottled dragon because managed to do a bottled axie many many years ago and I thought I could do that to a dragon too XD

So this I a contrast to my old 3-4 hour dial paintings but what can w do, the girl has a hard time focusing now plus too much screen time hurts my eyes now which means.. I d need to change my glasses soon. Was I satisfied with this? A little ^^ I know I could do better but I think the blending used up too much brain power for me. Would I put this on my year en summary... still too early to say XD I feel I could do something good with new practice

For the progess:

I have skipped so much of my sketching phase so I gave myself a timer to jut save my progress every 30 minutes just so I don't forget

For this, I was doing a bit of switching between an oil brush, a sketching brush, an inking brush and a blending brush because I legit forgot how I used to do digital because it's been a while. I do hope h next few drawings come easier for me but if not, I'll just have to relearn and re-invent my style because it really feels like I went back to 1 here. I wouldn't say 0 cuz I still have knowledge of what I'm doing but I just fee like I could have done this faster and better if I was practicing more often

Then here was m finishing up then doing the bottle I wanted my dragon to live in. It might be a bit of a tight fit for the dragon but let's go with maybe the dragon tamer got this for traveling purposes.

And with a few more details and begrudgingly forcing myself to nish up, I finally put a lid on my bottle XD I think if my brain didn't get bored and tired, I would have done a bit more detailing here and there and my working time would have gone 5-6 hours but I think that's enough for now XD I have 30 more dragon concepts to go and Ineed to keep my energy and consistency up.

PROMPT 1 IS DONE!!!!!

Unfortunately I could not do my power up day buttt at least I'm here for the start of August ^^ HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE!
