Day 9: Favorite Character

Hello hello ^^ and good morning from here! How are you guys? It's Monday and I dread going to work right now but I have a cat I provide for s I just gotta tough it out. Anyway, my drawing series continue! And for this day's prompt I have my favorite character. I couldn't think of like a regular character like say spongebob or snoopy cuz it just doesn't match my vibe so I went with my favorite Pokémon and that would be mimikyu!

Materials: Watercolor, pencil color, acrylic markers
Duration: 1.5 hours

I wanted to do like a cute Halloween vibe for this one cuz I've mostly only been drawing cute lately and I think I need a bit of dark colors in my life rn.But yes, I di try layering up the colors with watercolor and unfortunately that still does not work for me. I think I need to try some new watercolor techniques t some point but like... do I have time to learn yet? Maybe, maybe not?

And I realized it's been a while since my pencil colors made an appearance so I wanted to show them off again XD

The pencils out of the case were ones I mostly used and I mostly stick with a very muted palette cuz mimikyu is actually a pretty pale colored pokeon, kinda like the anemic Pikachu from the pokopeia game they released on switch, that kind of pale.



Then for the marker bit, I was actually debating whether I wanted to like d an outline o not but since it lacked definition so much and I realized that I would have to blacken out some parts regardelss, I jusy went ahead and outlined it just to ease the dilemma

It doesn't look that bad outlined to so hopefully that's that ^^
