Last crop
Today we have harvested the last crop this year. I really didn't want this moment to come, but somehow the 2022 gardening season is over.
Yesterday the frost hit and I had to collect the remains of tomatoes. The greenhouse was still full of green tomatoes, some were even blooming, but the weather had done its job. I had to collect everything.
The apple season has also come to an end.
It's a pity, but until next summer my goats won't get the apples they loved so much. Now they will have to eat the rest of the cabbage.
We didn't plan to plant cabbage this year, but friends gave me seedlings, so I had to plant. Only now they gave them too late, so the cabbage grew small, but it will do for goats, and for us too.
Unfortunately, this year I did not have time to finish the vegetable storage, so part of the harvest will have to be stored at home, and the other part in the workshop. Because of this, I have to heat every day in addition to the home stove, also the stove in the workshop.
Of course, this is an extra job and an extra consumption of firewood, but I think I will cope and in the spring I will continue the construction of the vegetable storage.
