I completely agree with you. In the past I didn't pay much attention to commenting, but now I have realized that commenting is an important part of this ecosystem and I am already seeing very positive results from it.

My current goal is to read at least 5–10 posts every day and leave meaningful comments to share my thoughts and opinions.

I also agree with your point that engagement helps build new friendships, encourages information sharing and most importantly, increases your followers over time. Content creation alone is not enough in this ecosystem. Meaningful commenting and active engagement are just as important for long term growth and success.
