Paint N° 18 : The lighthouse [Eng-Esp]
Greetings, creative hivsarts! In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with paint. I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get carried away by creativity.
For this installment N° 18, I present you a lighthouse in the sea, with a clear sky and some rocks on the shore. It is a watercolor work a little inexperienced but trying to apply what I have been learning. I hope you like it.
Saludos, creativos hivsarticos! En la entrega de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra hecha con pintura. Simplemente quise crear una pieza y escuchando música (Spotify en aleatorio), me he dejado llevar por la creatividad.
Para esta entrega N° 18, les presento un faro en el mar, con un cielo despejado y algunas rocas en la orilla. Es un trabajo en acuarelas un poco inexperto pero intentando aplicar lo que he venido aprendiendo. Espero les guste. .

1. To begin with, it is important to have a reference, at least for me, as I am still not very skilled in drawing from scratch. For this I only used 2H numbering pencil, however, in the following installments I will use other numbers for practice.
1. Para iniciar es importante una referencia, al menos para mi que aun no soy muy diestra en el dibujo desde la nada. Para esto solo utilicé lápiz de numeración 2H, sin embargo, en las siguientes entregas utilizaré otros números para la práctica.
2. Now it was time for painting. I applied brown tones for shadows and to resemble some rocks on the shore. Keeping in mind the direction of the light is important because this will determine where to paint and with what colors. The lower part needed to be darker, so in a brownish almost black tone I created the base of these rocks in the water.
2. Ya era momento de la pintura. Apliqué tonos marrones para sombras y asemejar algunas rocas de la orilla. Tener en cuenta la dirección de la luz es importante porque esto determinará dónde pintar y con qué colores. La parte inferior había que aplicarle más oscuridad por lo que en tono marrón casi negro creó la base de estas rocas en el agua.
3. To continue, it was time for heaven. I decided this because the background was easier to work out before the elements that should be in front of it, for example the lighthouse. Darker at the top and disappearing in strength as it gets closer to the sea is also a way to give it some dimension. For this the blue was the protagonist.
3. Para continuar, era momento del cielo. Esto lo decidí debido a que el fondo era más sencillo de elaborar antes de los elementos que deberían estar enfrente, por ejemplo el faro. Más oscuro en la cima y desapareciendo en fuerza a medida de que se acerca al mar es una forma también de darle un poco de dimensión. Para esto el azul fue el protagonista.
4. To go on and paint the lighthouse, I did it in different steps. Red was the start, as this establishes the characteristic levels of the lighthouse. The red applied in the middle level, a little on the main door and of course at the top, the railing that surrounds the light source guide.
4. Para seguir y pintar el faro, lo hice en diferentes pasos. El rojo fue el inicio, ya que esto establece los niveles característicos del faro. El rojo aplicado en el nivel del medio, Un poco en la puerta principal Y por supuesto en la cima, la baranda que rodea la fuente de luz guia.
5. Then, applying white in the remaining levels, black in the windows and points of more shadow and contrast is how I was able to finish this painting. For being about perspective and dimension, it was a good exercise.
5. Luego, aplicando blanco en los niveles restantes, negro en las ventanas y puntos de más sombra y contraste es como pude ir terminando esta pintura. Para tratarse de perspectiva y dimensión, fue un buen ejercicio.
6. Finally I applied blue for the sea. I tried to mix several tones for the water and give it some depth, also with darker tones I created on the water the shadow of the lighthouse itself. I highlighted some details and from a light adjustment without the influence of the environment I could edit the sharpness of the painting. I really liked the result and I hope to do better in the next painting.
6. Finalmente apliqué azul para el mar. Intenté mezclar varios tonos para el agua y darle cierta profundidad, también con tonos más oscuros creé sobre el agua la sombra del mismo faro. Resalté algunos detalles y desde un ajuste de luz sin la influencia del ambiente pude editar la nitidez de la pintura. Me gustó mucho el resultado y espero hacerlo mejor en el próximo cuadro.
