Greetings, creative hivsarts! In today's installment I want to share with you a piece made with paint. I simply wanted to create a piece and listening to music (Spotify on shuffle), I have let myself get carried away by creativity.

For this installment N° 17, I present to you an angel falling. Although with that reference most people might think that it is Lucifer, but this art is not directed to any specific one, maybe later. I hope you like it.

Saludos, creativos hivsarticos! En la entrega de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una obra hecha con pintura. Simplemente quise crear una pieza y escuchando música (Spotify en aleatorio), me he dejado llevar por la creatividad.

Para esta entrega N° 17, les presento un ángel cayendo. Si bien con esa referencia la mayoría podría pensar que se trata de Lucifer, pero este arte no va dirigido a alguno en específico, tal vez más adelante. Espero les guste. .

1. To begin with, the idea needs to be captured accurately, at least for me. So I looked for some references to be able to draw the angel. This would help me later to better delimit the areas where I would paint and that the character would be as proportionate as possible. As I'm not so good at drawing without references this helps me a lot.

1. Para iniciar, la idea necesita ser plasmada de forma precisa, al menos para mi. Por lo que busqué algunas referencias para poder dibujar el angel. Esto me ayudaría más adelante a delimitar mejor las zonas en donde pintaría y que el personaje estuviera proporcionado lo más posible. Como aun no soy tan buena dibujando sin referencias esto me ayuda muchísimo.

2. By the time it was time to apply paint I wanted to start with the wings. For me it was a little difficult to differentiate the shadows from the more illuminated parts. And although it may seem obvious, since I'm not an expert yet, I didn't want to ruin it. But when I decided on brown tones, I spent time to follow the shape of the wings and feathers to give it consistency and fluidity. I worked with different tones. So that the inner part of the wings would look brighter, which would have more visibility in the future.

2. Ya para el momento de aplicar pintura quise iniciar con las alas. Para mi fue un poco difícil que se diferenciaran las partes de sombras con las más iluminadas. Y aunque pueda parecer obvio, pues como aun no soy una experta no quería arruinarlo. Pero cuando me decidí por tonos marrones, le dediqué tiempo a seguir la forma de las alas y las plumas para darle consistencia y fluidez. Trabajé con diferentes tonos. Siendo así que en la parte interna de las alas se vieran más iluminadas, lo cual tendría más visibilidad en el futuro.

3. I continued with the angel's body and decided to go with tan tones. Drawing it is one thing, but shading and shaping it with paint is different because I could easily damage it and could not erase it. But I managed to give it similar tones to the skin and it was thanks to the application of pinks, yellows, beige and later browns on it. To my surprise it was coming out very well, that made me feel that I was making progress.

3. Continué con el cuerpo del angel y decidí que fuera en tonos bronceados. Dibujarlo es una cosa, pero darle sombra y forma con pintura es distinto porque muy facilmente podía dañarlo y no podía borrarlo. Pero logré darle tonos similares a la piel y fue gracias a la aplicación de rosas, amarillos, beige y posteriormente marrones sobre él. Para mi sorpresa sí estaba quedando muy bien, eso me hizo sentir que estaba progresando.

4. Next was to color the angel's hair and not for nothing I felt it was the most relaxed and easy part of the whole painting. Black was the main color, some touches of brown and finally some white highlights. All this following a kind of spherical shape to give sense to the curls of the hair.

4. Lo siguiente fue darle color al cabello del ángel y no por nada sentí que fue la parte más relajada y sencilla de toda la pintura. El negro fue lo principal, algunos toques de marron y por último unos reflejos en blanco. Todo esto siguiendo una especie de forma esférica para darle sentido a los rulos del cabello.

5. Finally, for the sky I used blue and yellow, each time making them lighter and lighter so that you could see how it was fading. In some parts it was difficult because I was very close to the angel figure and working with watercolors I was afraid of getting wet part of the work already done, but in the end everything came out very well. Another thing that worried me was the division that looks as if the sky was opening and letting the angel fall. For this I had to use a separate sheet to paint while part of the paint was covered, but it came out well. I really liked the result and hope to do better in the next painting.

5. Para terminar para el cielo utilicé azul y amarillo, cada vez haciendolos más claros para que se notara cómo se iba desvaneciendo. En algunas partes fue difícil ya que estaba muy cerca de la figura del angel y trabajando con acuarelas me daba miedo que se mojara parte del trabajo ya hecho, pero al final todo salió muy bien. Otra de las cosas que me preocuparon fue la división que se ve como si el cielo se abriera dejando caer al angel. Para esto tuve que ayudarme de una hoja aparte para pintar mientras parte de la pintura era cubierta, pero salió bien. Me gustó mucho el resultado y espero hacerlo mejor en la siguiente pintura.
