| The Architecture & Design of Orchad Library, Singapore | Singapore |
The more I walked, the more I knew that this library was huge, even having two floors. I didn’t know where to start and couldn’t think of what genre of book I wanted to read because I was already immersed in the interior design and the shelves there. So, let’s talk about the interior design of this room which is dominated by white and wooden brown. All the bookshelves have a similar color, which is white with a unique design. Many shelves curve like the curve of waves in every child’s drawing.

| Havana Cathedral, a visit inside [EN/ES] | Cuba |
The vaulted ceiling rises high and looking up I could see colourful paintings depicting religious scenes in the space above between its sturdy columns. These murals adorn the walls surrounding the main altar, and they are absolutely beautiful. In the centre of the ceiling a large teardrop-shaped chandelier illuminates the central nave. The floor is all marble, and features geometric figures in white, black and grey, creating an elegant and sophisticated pattern.

| Immaculate Conception Church | Venezuela |
This building assumes the characteristics of the modern architecture that was beginning to consolidate in Venezuela. Its façade is a clear example of this style: straight lines, simple geometric forms and a sober volumetry. The tower, stylized and vertical, stands out among the other nearby constructions, an element that not only stands out visually, but also has a deep symbolism. This verticality, present in many churches, represents the connection between the earthly and the divine, a crucial point in the design of religious spaces.
