MI MES DE JULIO EN FOTOS (Es - En)
ENGLISH
Hello everyone, good afternoon. It's safe to say that July flew by. I don't know if it was because our thoughts and hearts were still focused on last month's tragedy, or because of the hectic pace of life amidst the constant power outages that have disrupted our peace and kept us living in anxiety... I think it was both. I would love to say only good things about this month, because of course there are good things, there always will be, but there are certain situations that are not good and deserve to be mentioned and remembered because they are significant.
July passed with rescues of people alive in the La Guaira tragedy and other places in our country, many people still trapped under the rubble, pets that have been rescued even though more than a month has passed, and many people still affected who need our support... I make a plea once again not to forget them, and to donate our grain of sand because every bit of help is valuable.
Personally, it's true that I've been quite anxious and stressed about the electricity situation, but I've managed to create a plan for emotional stability, which consists of eliminating as much as possible anything that generates pressure. It doesn't sound easy; it means reducing my responsibilities a bit, at least on a daily basis, and stepping a little outside my comfort zone. My businesses operate daily, and some even 24/7, so to speak. I've had to slow down and adjust my hours, as well as the days I'm available. I've been participating more in recreational and relaxing activities like dance therapy, yoga, stretching, more frequent group runs and walks, and social gatherings like karaoke, coffee, and outings, among others.
I'm not away as much because I'm a dog mom and a cat mom, and this pack of six is possessive. But I've managed to coordinate their feeding schedules so they get their food on time before any outing. The number of hours without daylight is not only stressful, but it also disrupts our daily routine. Going out to do outdoor activities is another good option, and I've been spending more time in contact with the local nature and photographing the surroundings. Training continues as normal, with its ups and downs. During July, I started a plan to address the constant breakdowns of my work equipment, and I found a suitable budget; now I'm in the middle of a savings plan to put together the down payment.
I've been participating in my grandchildren's school activities, and I loved seeing them dressed in the traditional costumes of the country where they're living, as part of the cultural events. A coffee and a toast are always welcome, and good food is too. And of course, we can't forget the closing of the World Cup with Spain's victory, a day that united the entire planet.
July passed with some good things and some not so good, but I have faith that our prayers will bring peace back, and I welcome August with the hope that it will bring us beautiful moments.
Thank you all for visiting my blog. Happy weekend, and happy start to August!
