My most unforgettable experience at Moalboal- Badian, Cebu Philippines: Sardines, Turtles and Falls

Hello, World! My experience in the southern part of Cebu is one of the best things I can never forget. I tried the sardines run, met the cutest turtle and accepted the canyoneering challenge.

The canyoneering activity in Badian, Cebu Philippines was an awesome experience. First, we hiked for thirty minutes to reach Kawasan Falls. It is not an easy one, the trail has a lot of ups and downs and the most exciting part - it is raining during that time so it’s slippery which adds more to the challenge. Nevertheless, all of these became worth it when we reached the cold Kawasan Falls. We swam, jumped and enjoyed the cold clear water. We took a lot of group photos and formed a circle in the water. I also tried jumping from a 7-meter cliff, it was so nerve-wracking! By the way, when you go there, don’t forget to buy some of the barbecues they are selling. It really tastes good.

Next activities were sardine run and sea turtle encounter. Together with my friends, we attended a safety orientation and wore our gear. As we swam to the deep part, I felt a little bit nervous and excited at the same time. Once everything was set, we dived into the water and witnessed thousands of cute little sardines swimming around us. Then, we encountered the biggest sea turtle I had ever seen. The ocean was so deep that I could still see its depth even while I was near the surface. There were also people scuba diving and exploring the deeper part of the ocean.

After all of those activities, I felt like my body is crying for help. We were exhausted, but we also felt fulfilled by the amazing experience we had. It was all worth it. I wish I could back there again. Would you like to try those activities as well?
