It's December 31 already!
It's December 31 already! How the year flies by. ๐
Yesterday it was exactly one year ago that I walked the streets after 3 weeks of quarantine. I remember how sick and hopeless I felt. But I knew I wanted to get better and move on. And here I am!๐
One year on, still not quite the same, but certainly much better than last year!
I can't complain about 2023.
It has not been my best, but certainly not my worst year. Basically, it has been a year of growth. Yes, I also lost a lot. Having to say goodbye to people I didn't want to lose, but hey that's part of life isn't it?
Still, I'm not going to complain about it.
I am grateful for my recovery, grateful that I have passed all my exams and now only have to write my thesis. I could go on to list many other points I am thankful for, but hey we're not going to do that here.
I just want to send another quick greeting here and wish everyone reading this a very happy New Year!

I will have a quiet day today, I would like to meditate today, I will take time to prepare a journal for the new year, otherwise I will quietly read a book. Later I will have a cousin visit me, we will eat and drink together. In the evening I will shoot off some fireworks and drink some champagne with my parents I guess.
In Suriname, there is usually a lot of partying on December 31. And I have also known years where I just partied for 24 hours. But I think I'm past that phase. I prefer to be quiet at home.
Anyway, I hope everyone here may have a sparkling New Year's Eve and evening and most of all a happy & healthy 2024. ๐
The world needs a lot of healing so I pray that in the coming year we will hopefully have less pain in the world, although that is a long process. But we should always be positive and have hope!
Thank you for visiting my blog and for reading this. I appreciate that very much.โค๏ธ
