I Am Alive - Post # 179

I don't really know what to write. I've been drained for a few days now and it's just very tiring.
Ever since I read the news reports about what is going on in India regarding the 31-year-old doctor who was raped and murdered, I have been devastated. I can't process the news, can't believe there are such monsters in the world. Even writing this blog makes my fingers tremble and my stomach ache just think about what that woman had to endure in the last minutes or hours of her life. Because who knows how long they tortured her.
How? How do such monsters arise? You have to be really sick in the head to do something like that to another person, don't you?
As a Hindustani girl today, I am really grateful that I do not live in India, but in Suriname.
I always try to see the positive in everything, it doesn't always work out, but I try.
And yet, today I can't even try. I'm just disgusted with this world. And my heart bleeds.
