Stuff I crocheted this weekend
Just showing off my creations, lol. I learned how to crochet on Saturday. So proud of myself for being able to create all this!!! My favorite stitch is the double crochet (I think it’s called triple in some countries?). I plan to make amigurumi (crocheted stuffed toys) in future. I just need to learn to regulate pressure first. I already bought some colored yarns, can’t wait!!!
I’ve learned crochet is more fun than knitting. Less stressful. Dropped stitches are easily fixed, or just ignored - barely a bigger hole that you can’t even see without actually trying. When the hook falls out, no biggie. Decreases and increases are easy too. It’s just a more logical yarn craft. And faster. Omg so much faster. Look knitting is also pretty fast, just more gauzy. I may never go back to regular knitting.
Worsted (size 4) acrylic yarns. Green is Red Heart Super Saver, the yellow/white/brown/blue yarn is a Caron cake. Size 5.00 Boye crochet hook. I will look at hooks with cushy grips, for the future.

— First project - a coaster maybe? —
— 2nd project, was supposed to be a flower and leaves bookmark. I failed at flowering so made it a bracelet. A flower will come soon! —
— Beret hat. I cobbled together some different patterns, and overestimated the size of my head. Still, I’m proud of this thing. It looks like a normal hat from the front if I tuck my ponytail inside the back. Roomy! —
— Another purse! You can’t really tell the missed stitches, I love crochet! —
— scrunchies. Surprisingly, almost 1 oz of yarn each. —
