Daily Poem: Yarn Arts
Yarn, yarn, everywhere.
Why did I buy so much fibre?
Here is the acrylic, rough workhorse,
There is the beautiful shiny lustre.
I like the idea of the yarn arts,
Perhaps more than the reality of labor.
Knitting is tense and stressful,
Each dropped stitch brings horror.
I learned to crochet this past Saturday,
And oh my, how fun it is (so far)!
I’ve made a hat and a purse and even scrunchies,
All thanks to that quickly formed double bar!
I’m talking about double crochet in case you can’t tell,
It’s one of the stitches that I’m learning so well.
I plan to make little crochet plushies soon,
Hopefully the learning will be the opposite of h3ll!
