2026: Korean surplus temptation

🚲 Window 🪟 Shopping 🛍️

It was time to go home, but today we didn’t have a free ride from the company shuttle because the driver had something more important to deliver. In cases like this, we had to commute back to our boarding house.

At the street going towards the crossing, we couldn’t see any jeepney. If one passed by, it was already full of passengers. So we decided to walk for a while, hoping we could catch one later. We walked until we reached a Korean surplus shop.

Inside the shop, we roamed around, looking for things we didn’t really need. Rex found a bike with three spokes. He said it was the kind of bike he had always wanted. He looked excited and eager to buy it. He even had it weighed to check if it was still good and worth getting.

In the end, he didn’t buy the bike because of a few reasons. Maybe it was just not meant for him. We spent almost an hour inside the shop before deciding to leave. After that, we finally rode a jeepney going home.

We were already hungry and started looking for food. Stopped by at the carenderia near the house. They have selection of freshly cooked tinolang sabaw pork and fish. They also have grilled fish and barbecue in front, smoking and inviting the passerbys.

At the house, looked like Rex was still contemplating about the bike. He even prepared some money, thinking of coming back the next day to get it. He was now convinced to get it. But let see if would have it the next day.

See you next day.
