Five Minute Freewrite: There's No Job For Bob

Bob , a young man who has been battling to get a job in an already saturated industry without any success managed to secure a job in a biscuit manufacturing company as a loader. He is usually paid according to the number of cartons loaded by him on daily basis. The pay was barley enough to get him food daily. But he kept doing the job and hoping for a better tomorrow.

The world then suffered a terrible outbreak that mde everyone retreat and work from home. The kind of job Bob does do not involve such an arrangement. He needs to be coming out on daily basis and loading trucks and vans. But the order of the day could not allow such.

Having waited at home for many months without work, Bob decided to visit his usual place of work but met it locked. He defied thr lockdown and went out in search of his daily living. That day, there was no job for Bob to do. All the trucks were packed because most customers now order online and have it delivered at their doorsteps.

Bob waited from morning till ate in the night without finding anything to do. A staff came around and gave him a package, a brown envelope and with a smiling face, as if he knows the content, Bob received it with thanks and left for home. At home elhe tactfully opened it to find some clean notes tucked inside it. He smiled to himself. At least that will be enough to see him through a solid one month. He looked up and smiled again. This time the smile was much broader.
