Surds Q/A1: Surds Simplified! Learn How I Solved Complex Surd Problem
Hello guys!
It’s another beautiful day to interact with Mathematics in this amazing community.
In today’s video, I solved a surd problem that required simplifying a complex surd expression to its simplest form.
Since the given surd was in the form of a fraction, I applied the fraction addition method by first finding the Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) of the denominators. After that, I divided the LCM by each denominator, multiplied the result by the corresponding numerator, and then simplified to obtain the final simplest standard form of the surd, which is 2√5.
I hope this explanation is both educative and helpful, especially for students who find it challenging to solve such problems.
