Plant shopping day / 植物市のち花屋さん、スーパーでも・・・

We have a quite large plant market in a botanical garden two times in a year. I visited its autumn version today. My daughter, mini plant fan came along. I was happy to see around with my friend's family with a large garden.

Unfortunately we have two kids hopping around so I didn't have much photos from the market 😅

After we ate lunch together, my daughter and I moved to downtown and stopped at some more plant shops and supermarkets to see plants. In the end, we came back to home with six new plants. The one in the middle is from my friend's family.

You may think strange that I wrote "supermarket" above. But interestingly, there are a lot of plant offers in supermarkets. I got to know this from one of my gardening friends. She is right. I guess people in Germany prepare indoor greens to be ready for the cold grayish autumn and winter. I understand it. This year we do so too ... 😉

At a supermarket, blueberry plants were sold for half the price, around 3 EUR. My daughter and I saw it early in this week but I didn't have space to bring the pot back. The plants looked a bit tired after being in the supermarket for one week and dropped some leaves. We wanted to save one of them. We bought one and will see we have blue berries in my small balcony next year.

I look forward to visiting the plant market again in next spring.
