Time - Original poem
Folks say that time waits for no man
But then again, is time supposed to wait?
That brings me to another question
How would you define time?
Is it a fancy piece of jewellery,
That's stylishly rests on your left wrist
Or is it some old antique item;
Inherited from Sweet Grandpa Joe,
That now forms a part of your living room.
Or is it in the number of sunsets and sunrises
You get to experience as you grow old
What is time to you?
Time is like river, always flowing
Whether you pay attention to it or not
Your negligence will never cause this river to stop flowing
Now, we may have been able to measure time
But let's also learn to flow with the tide
And we'd see how lovely a companion time can be.
