先日やってた祇園祭に参加してきました。 去年も行ったのですが、今年は去年ほど暑くなくていいですね。去年この時期はもっと気温が高く、祭りなんか来るんじゃなかった‥と考えてた覚えがあります。 そして今年も行ってきたのですが、なんせ人が多い！！ 上の写真はまだ入り口なのでましだったのですが、屋台のゾーンに入るとこんな感じです。

鎮花祭は無病息災、五穀豊穣を祈願するお祭りで、3日間とも祭典中、舞殿にて氏子崇敬者の童女による花しづめ舞が奉奏されます。

 桜の花の咲く頃は様々に生命が冬籠りから起きますが、病気や種々の災害も起こりやすい為、疫病を鎮め、また桜が長く咲く年は豊作であるという事からいつまでも花が散らぬようにと祈ります。7日の大祭には緑、紅、白の菱餅の上に桜花を乗せてお供えします。 ※撮影につきましては舞人のプライバシー保護の為、禁止となります。(拝観自由)
