How to get rid from Comparing Yourself to Others!

Comparison kills us. It kills our self-esteem, confidence and makes us emotionally fragile. None of us can claim that we didn't compare ourselves with others at least once in our life. And the truth is, most of us usually do compare ourselves continuously with others. Social media has a huge role in this too.

It's understandable how harmful this can be. But it's hard to find some clue how to get rid of this self-harming attitude. Here's some that I think can help.

  • Remind yourself that you are an individual it'll different capability. Respect what you have and run your journey with that. Compare yourself with your past and move ahead.

  • Comparing will come naturally. But always remind yourself that it's not helping you anyway to move forward. If you take the positive side of comparison than it's okay but it's too hard to not feel jealous or lowering down your self-seteem. So, it's better to not go on that way.

  • Comparing can't help in self-improveent. Rather think about what you need to change and improve yourself and work on them.

  • Continiuosly remind yourself that you don't need other's validation and comparison to see if you are doing well. If need get rid of social media or what affecting your self-esteem.

Getting rid of comparison should be a continuous process as comparison is also a continuous process. But if we managed remind us continuously and work on our self-imorovement we will gradually feel less need of comparison. It will take time but the time worth it!
