Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

In this series, I will review one unit at a time, picking them randomly.

So let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:

Adeptus Custodes, Knight-Centura

10th Edition Codex

The very first entry to this Library was the Prosecutors, who are a Sisters of Silence unit in the Adeptus Custodes army.

The Knight-Centura is a non-named character unit of the Sisters of Silence who are Anti-Psykers.

She is 70pts and is basically a Vigilator, but can join Prosecutors or Witchseekers as well and can be kitted out to be armed as any of the three.

Let's check those stats!

Stats

Movement 6"
Toughness 3
Save 3+/5+(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 4
Ld 6+
OC 1

Weapons

There are three modes:
Executioner Greatblade
or
Master-crafted boltgun and close combat weapon
or
Witchseeker Flamer and close combat weapon

Ranged:
Master-crafted boltgun - A 24" Range, 1 Shot,2+ To hit, S4 AP0 D2 - With Rapid Fire 1
Witchseeker Flamer - A 12" Range, D6 Shots (Torrent), S4 AP0 D1

Melee:

Executioner greatblade
3 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S5, AP-2 and 2 Damage, Devastating Wounds and Anti-psyker 5+

Close Combat Weapon
3 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S3, AP0 and 1 Damage

Of course the Greatblade seems the batter choice here. The flamer is sort of the weakest option to me.

Abilities

Scouts 6"

Daughter of the Abyss

This unit has a 3+ Feel no Pain against Psychic attacks and Mortal Wounds.

Seeker’s Instincts

While leading a unit, add 2" to movement, as well as 2" to Charges and Advances.

Corner the Quarry

If a unit wants to try fall back from the Knight-Centura's unit they need to make Desperate Escpae Tests with a -1 to the roll!

This means that each model in the unit needs to roll a dice and on a 1,2 or 3 the model is destroyed!

This is all good and well, but I think that the only way to make use of the last one is to include some other Custodes units in the fight... I am not sure that I would want to run away from these Sisters of Silence. lol
