The way I was fired from my job infuriates me(eng-spn)

This is a photo from eight years ago, the day I joyfully received my Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics. I was full of dreams and hopes that with the fruits of my studies and dedication, I would find a decent job to live on. At first, it seemed that would be the case, but as the years passed, reality clashed with my dreams, and many things happened, forcing me to leave the country. Three years ago, I returned, and to make ends meet, I found work as a security guard. Later, I managed to get a teaching position at a private school.

I was dismissed from this school on July 17th, where I taught mathematics. The school year in our country ends on July 31st, when the summer holidays begin. However, as that date approached, the school decided to fire me without any benefits, giving me only my bi-weekly pay and a small bonus as compensation.

The reason for this is to avoid paying for the vacation months and the corresponding bi-weekly pay periods. That's why the school owners and administration decide to fire all their staff and then rehire them when classes start.

I find it unfair, but due to the country's economic situation and the need for a salary to cover basic needs, we have no choice but to accept this situation. I hope to find a better job this school year so I don't have to go through this unpleasant experience again.

I've been in this job for two years now. While it has its downsides, it's not all bad, as my daughter is studying here and I don't have to pay any tuition or registration fees. I believe that this year they will waive the tuition and registration fees for my son's preschool, which is also part of the same institution. These are things I deeply appreciate from the owners of the institution.

However, being fired and then rehired seems despicable to me, and it's one of the reasons I get angry. Even so, I calm down when I understand that they, as an institution, are also going through the crisis that we are all experiencing in this country, where the economy is so unstable that we have one of the highest rates of hyperinflation in the world.

It's time to stay calm and carry on, to take a deep breath, as my mother says, to suppress the urge to cry, and to keep going. I firmly believe that this situation in the country will improve someday, and we will be able to breathe and live with dignity.

Esta es una foto hace 8 años del día que recibí con mucha alegría mi título de Licenciada en Educación mención Matemáticas, llena de sueños y esperanzas que con el fruto de mi estudio y dedicación encontraría un trabajo digno para vivir. Al principio parecía que así sería pero con el pasar de los años, la realidad chocó contra mis sueños y sucedieron muchas cosas y tuve que irme del país, hace tres años regresé y para poder solventar la situación económica conseguí trabajo de vigilante y después logré conseguir trabajo de docente en una institución privada.

En esta institución educativa me despidieron el 17 de julio, donde impartía clases de matemáticas. Las labores educativas en nuestro país terminan el 31 de julio, cuando comienzan las vacaciones escolares; sin embargo, al acercarse esa fecha, en el colegio decidieron despedirme sin ningún tipo de beneficio, dándome solo mi quincena y un pequeño bono como compensación

La razón de esto es para no pagarte los meses de vacaciones ni las quincenas correspondientes, por eso los dueños del plantel educativo junto con la directiva toman la decisión de despedir a todo su personal y luego cuando comienzan las clases los vuelven a contratar.

Me parece injusto, pero debido a la situación económica del país y la necesidad de tener un salario para medio solventar las necesidades básicas no nos queda de otra que aceptar esta situación. Espero poder este año escolar conseguir un mejor trabajo para no volver a pasar por este desagradable suceso.

En esta situación laboral ya llevo dos años, así como tiene sus cosas negativas no todo es malo, pues aquí tengo a mi hija estudiando y no cancelo ningún tipo de mensualidad ni inscripción y creo que este año me van a exonerar de pagar mensualidad e inscripción en el maternal de mi hijo que también forma parte de la misma institución. Son cosas que agradezco profundamente a los dueños de la institución.

Sin embargo, el que te despidan y después te vuelvan a contratar me parece algo detestable, y es una de las razones por las cuales me enojo. Aun así, me calmo cuando entiendo que ellos, como institución, también atraviesan la crisis de la cual todos somos objeto en este país, donde la economía es tan inestable que tenemos una de las mayores hiperinflaciones del mundo.

Toca llenarse de calma y continuar, respirar hondo como dice mi madre, apretar las ganas de llorar y seguir adelante. Tengo la firme creencia de que esta situación país mejorará algún día y podamos respirar y vivir dignamente.
