A few days ago, I found a caterpillar that had fallen from a leaf flower tree. I almost mistook the tail for the head. Initially, I thought the tail was the one with the horns, but I was wrong. It turned out the head was the one without the horns. I was able to confirm this when it started moving.

Its beautiful color caught my attention and I began to observe it. I haven't shared this photo anywhere else except on inaturalist
There, I saw that this caterpillar was a dark brown leaf butterfly in its metamorphosis.

After taking several close-up photos, I lifted it back up to the flower tree where it nested. Essentially, all caterpillars are pests, as evidenced by its eating many of the flower's leaves. After putting it back down, it immediately hid under the leaves in a shady spot.
