I don't know if I've sinned today. While digging, I accidentally damaged the worms' palace, making them very scared and pulling deeper into the soil. However, not all of them succeeded because some were cut off by the hoe.

I tried to pull them out to take a close-up photo, then returned them to their nest hole.

I think the severed worm can only survive, but the tail will die. The worms can most likely breathe through the skin of their body segments, which can repair the severed body part.
