This is an original song by the outlaw Danny Hickle. I learned it from him in the 1990s in Boquillas, Mexico. He was an expatriot gringo who was on the run from the US law. I heard some years later that he had turned himself in so he could spend some time with his grandkids (after doing a little time, no doubt). Enjoy.
