This has been a long build, battling against time , the weather and a vastly lacking knowledge base.
This has been my second wood project. My first was a wooden planter. Which even then brought about many issues with my lack of knowledge with woodwork.
Now is the time to show the finished article.
Drum roll please
I present Chateau De 6C
It is a marvellous work of art and craftmanship if I do say so myself 😅
I tried to keep the playhouse looking nice with the large windows and the door with the multiple panes of clear Perspex to bring as much light into the playhouse as possible.
This also gives my children a lovely view of the garden and the plants surrounding it.
The inside was painted a sky blue colour as chosen by my daughter. The clouds add a break in the colour and gives them a lovely blue sky to play under at all times.
I am upcycling an old coffee table and making it into a sofa for them.
The playhouse has fairy lights around the top of the walls which give out a lot more light than I had expected.
The chimenea has been added to give a fake fire which looks really well. Chopped up pieces of scrap wood and fairy lights were used to give the fire effect.
Finishing touches to be added at a later date are the finished sofa, a small play kitchen and a desk for them to do their artwork on.
Thankyou for stopping by and giving me your time.
