When we talk about Caracas and its hotels and resorts, there is one building we cannot overlook, as over the years it has become an undisputed icon of the city, due to its unique location, its striking shape, and a history that reflects the city’s ups and downs and hardships, yet at the same time demonstrates the resilient strength that allows us to overcome challenges and forge a path toward a better future.

Cuando hablamos de Caracas y nos referimos a sus hoteles y complejos turísticos, existe una estructura que no podemos dejar de lado, ya que con el pasar de los años se ha convertido en un icono indiscutible de la ciudad, esto debido a su peculiar ubicación, su interesante forma y una historia que refleja las vicisitudes y dificultades de la ciudad, pero que al mismo tiempo nos demuestra ese poder resiliente que permite superar dificultades para abrirse camino hacia un futuro mejor.

El Hotel Humboldt, con sus cinco estrellas, corona la cima de la ciudad, regalándonos una estructura cilíndrica capaz de ser vista desde casi cualquier punto de la capital. Su interior resalta por el lujo y el confort, pero al mismo tiempo todo esto bajo un aura un tanto retro, ya que se ha decidido conservar su espíritu original, el cual data de los años 50, una época dorada que marcó para siempre el destino de la ciudad, ya que durante estos años se desarrolló un boom arquitectónico sin precedentes, en donde el perfil urbano cambiaría para siempre.

This structure has survived neglect, vandalism, earthquakes, and political upheavals, yet today it stands resplendent and fully functional, reminding us that when a structure is built on solid foundations, it can weather any storm. That is why the people of Caracas have embraced it as their own, always looking upon it with affection and taking pride in having it nestled among their mountains.

Esta estructura ha sobrevivido al abandono, el vandalismo, los terremotos y cambios políticos, pero hoy en día se alza brillante y completamente funcional, recordándonos que cuando una estructura se construye con bases sólidas, esta es capaz de remontar cualquier ola y es por ello que la identidad caraqueña lo asume como propio, mirándolo siempre con cariño y sintiéndose orgulloso de tenerlo entre sus montañas.
