The crypto market has been flat long enough now that I can start thinking about acquiring riskier assets.
The difference this time is that layer-2 blockchains are coming of age and yield-making assets are running on them. This mean we no longer have to take on layer-1 Ethereum gas price spike and price us out of transactions.
Heroism & martyrdom
I'm starting to wonder if I have a martyr complex and if so what are the implications. I suspect there's a non-trivial amount of masochistic tendencies that comes along with that.
Just when I was thinking about this, I started to read Ernest Becker's Denial of Death without really knowing its premise. Guess what, it has the theme heroism all over it. And I think he's not trying to sell the concept.
