Good evening, everyone! I wish you all a weekend full of blessings in the company of your loved ones, always guided by Almighty God. Welcome to my blog!
It rained a lot in my town today, and this morning I couldn’t go to work because it didn’t stop raining until well after school started, so when the rain let up, my husband went downtown to buy some fresh corn dough—they sell it ready-made now; they have electric mills and grind it right when you buy it. We asked for half a kilo and went back home to make some fresh corn cachapas—they’re delicious, easy to make with just a few ingredients. Let me show you.
Makes 6 small servings:
1/2 kilo of tender corn dough, 3 tablespoons of sugar, water and oil as needed, a pinch of salt.
I placed the batter in a bowl, added the sugar, and gradually added water until I reached the desired consistency. I also added a small amount of oil—about 120 ml—to prevent them from sticking while cooking.
Finally, I added a pinch of salt, heated a frying pan greased with oil, spooned out portions of the batter, and cooked them on both sides.
