This week my nephew is starting first grade, and I still remember his first day of school, full of emotions: happiness, uncertainty, nostalgia… even my sister cried when she left him, and he was practically saying, “Bye, Mom, see you later!” hahaha, I still remember that scene. It's truly been a rollercoaster and a very dynamic and learning process in this first stage for my little one. It hasn't been easy, especially with the fact that he's very picky about food, and with advice, we understood that it's not about forcing him, but about gradually adapting him to the new things he experiences, so that this learning process, both academic and related to food, is one that he enjoys and channels better.

Seeing this photo and knowing he'll be wearing that red shirt for the last time tomorrow, that shirt from his preschool days, makes me want to cry. I know he'll manage to adapt to his new school. It won't be easy, but since most of his classmates will be there, especially his best friend, I think he'll be able to handle the new environment. And it's good that they're in the same class, because according to their teacher, they're friends but they don't cause any trouble in class, so that's a point in his favor. Time really does fly by and so much has happened. Although they won't have a big celebration because of the situation in the country and all those who are no longer with us, at least they wanted to have a small graduation ceremony and I hope it leaves them with a nice memory.
