Altcoin-Apokalypse
Tuesday, September 24: Altcoins also have to let go today, with some of the top 20 cryptocurrencies even losing more than 34%.
The last few hours were downright disastrous for the crypto markets. After it went down for Bitcoin all of a sudden, now the Altcoins fall off strong. Even large cryptocurrencies record double-digit losses, with Bitcoin SV (BSV), with a crash of more than 34%, having the inglorious honor of being the clear day loser.
Ether (ETH), the market-leading Altcoin, has lost more than $ 50 over the last 24 hours, down 24% on the day, dropping $ 156 last.
Meanwhile, XRP has slipped below the $ 0.25 mark, after posting a high of $ 0.28 in the meantime, but ultimately trading at a current price of $ 0.234. The daily loss is accordingly 16%.
The other top 20 coins that are bumping today are EOS, down 29%, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), down 24%, and Cardano (ADA) and Tron (TRX), respectively fell by 23%.
As Cointelegraph reported just a few minutes ago, market leader Bitcoin has put down a so-called "flash crash" that has plummeted (literally) from $ 9,800 to just $ 8,150. This sharp downward move could result in a slide down to $ 7,500.
At the time of going to press, it does not look as if the prices of Altcoins are stabilizing.
