Over the years, art has grown to be much more than  stroking the pencil on paper or splashing ink on paper,  art is believed  to be a method of communication, an expression of emotions,  feelings,  thoughts and imaginations. 

Every artistic work no matter how simple it looks is laden with a lot of meaning and open to various interpretations but the true meaning lies with the artist  itself,  while some can be easily understood,  others are so deep minded and twisted that it takes painstaking hours of analysis  and artistic appreciation to be able to understand  the meaning in their artistic work. 

To answer your question,  Art is not just scribbling on paper with your pencil drawing or shading images but a way of pouring out your innermost emotions,  feelings,  thoughts , imaginations and also communicating with your art when words fail to express your innermost feelings and desire.  Art is communication,,  art is life.
