These misconceptions are very prevalent. It is almost inescapable that you will run into at least one or more of them any time you have a conversation about the idea of a state-less society. Even from very liberty minded individuals. The word "anarchy" has a deep-seated history of being portrayed as violent marauders bent on destruction and violence.
