Introduction

Hello everyone, Worldmappin friends! I'm lauramica@lauramica, and I'm sharing our Travel Digest for today. We have so many places to visit this Thursday! ❤️

In today's post, our featured posts take us on a nature hike at the Kotel Balkan in Bulgaria, to a visit to a beautiful basilica in Malta, and to learn the story of an ancient stone in Portugal. We'll also visit other places around the world like Australia, Spain, the Philippines, and Venezuela—a little bit of everything!

Thank you all for sharing your posts on the map! Have a wonderful day! 😃❤️

Our winners today

🥇 Hiking trip to Vida peak by vesytz@vesytz

This weekend my friends and I were in the Kotel Balkan and decided to hike to Vida Peak on Saturday. The peak is located near the town of Kotel and there are several marked routes to it, but we took the one that starts from the main road south of the town. We crossed a bridge and at the beginning of the route we started seeing beautiful plants and herbs.

🥈 Discovering one of Valletta’s Timeless Beauty of Basilica of St. Dominic and Porto Salvo. by katiekate86@katiekate86

Hello, travellers and welcome to our Malta journey! 👋
After exploring the historic Fort St. Elmo and learning about Malta's battles, soldiers' sacrifices and the fortress gave us a full picture.
We continued our journey through the beautiful streets of Valletta. We have our bottled water to keep us hydrated because of the weather.

🥉 The 2000-year-old stone🚩🚙 / La piedra de 2000 anos📸💎 by biologistbrito@biologistbrito

For this contest, I selected a stone that isn't visually appealing or as ancient as the dinosaurs. However, can you imagine touching a piece of stone that was probably used in a Roman house? Let me tell you how this little piece of brick ended up in my hand! Enjoy this experience because you will travel with me back more than 1,500 years!🚙📸
