Autumn at Waterfall Gully.

Autumn and Winter come together here in Adelaide. The Adelaide Hills are exquisite during this period of time. I like the moisture of rain, the color of trees, and the chill in the air during this part of the year. The hills are filled with yellow, brown, and green autumn leaves.

Waterfalls are occasional here in Adelaide. The start of winter just gets better here in Adelaide with the rain. The density of water increases, and we get to see the beauty of nature.

The leaves painted the street, and the waterfall just let the water drain down so nature can spread its love to the plains.

The weather had just cleared after two days of rain when I reached there, and at times, clouds drizzled, playing hide-and-seek with the sun. The waterfall had increased in size with the rain, and it just added an exquisite hill to the hill.

The waterfall usually doesn't get this big, because it waits for the winter to bring her rain and autumn to let the leaves dive into its freshness. With the walking trail around, the area had gone quite busy with the parking occupied. One beautiful thing about this spot is the breakfast stop at UTOPIA. You can please yourself with some good food; if not, take a hike up the hill or spend time around the waterfall.

One could stay the whole day around, let the autumn leaves fall on them, or go up the hill, all sweaty, just to dry off with the breeze sent by the waterfall.

The Hidden-Story:
In between all the exquisite, this house(currently a restaurant) was built around 1912. During a bushfire in 1926, a policeman died while extinguishing the fire. To this day, people have noticed some unusual experiences.

The house is in its beautiful spot, but at night, it might look different after hearing this story.

While staying there, I had the most beautiful, calm, and serene feeling. The rain, clouds hide and seek, and the water droplets around with fallen autumn leaves added calmness to my heart.
