Hey, hey! This is gabrielatravels@gabrielatravels, and I am pleased to bring you a brand new edition of #TravelDigest! ❤️

Today's post is going to take you on a virtual tour with stops at a fortress in Spain, a hike in Turkey, and more places in Greece. We also have the honourable mentions list, where you can get a few more travel postcards from Serbia, Portugal, Venezuela, Philippines, Australia, and Pakistan, so don't forget to check these posts too! 😊

All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by worldmappin@worldmappin, our curation trail, and potentially blocktrades@blocktrades. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

🥇 A MEDIEVAL WALK THROUGH ALBARRACÍN by ramon2024@ramon2024

One of my favourite moments was simply stopping beside the river and looking back towards the walls high above. The combination of nature and medieval architecture creates a landscape that feels almost untouched by time. It is the kind of place that invites you to slow down and enjoy every step.

🥈 Turkish Carpathians or lost somewhere behind the forest fogs 🌿🌲⛰️ by bugavi@bugavi

It comes directly from the top of the mountain, and it looks unreal and magical, just like the water itself, which falls down in a perfectly even stream. At this location there is a special viewing area — a glass balcony where people can take photos and look at the beautiful waterfall. Of course, I also took photos, and we all took photos. It was a beautiful and bright trip.

🥉 Panagia Gouverniotissa: A Hidden Byzantine Gem in Potamies, Crete by katerinaramm@katerinaramm

If I ask you about Crete, you may first of all imagine beaches, seaside tavernas, or ancient Minoan palaces. But there is much more here and this place is only a short drive from Hersonissos. This post is about one of the island's most remarkable historical sites: Panagia Gouverniotissa in the village of Potamies.
