Hello everyone. Its HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 257 with the THEME: QUAREZMA.

I AM wizj@wizj.

I shall play a song by FANNY CROSBY published in 1869.

It is a solemn song suitable for this period that we are in Christiandom called "LENTEN SEASON". Most particularly, to CATHOLICS who really observed this period with intense hope. Its a period to prepare for the death and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST.

It is a period of 40 days waiting in fasting, armsgiving and prayer.

The song has as its lyrics some basic prayers embedded.

At the foot of the cross drips out a fountain that gives life and hope to us. There At there cross, Christ gave it all to its very zenith.

Near the cross we come always to seek for life. He (CHRIST) do not hesitate to bless us by extending his hands upon us.

For this period, join us in remembrance to wait for that salvation which is to come by CHRIST alone.

After good FRIDAY comes EASTER SUNDAY where we are full with joy at his resurrection.

         LyRICS:

Jesus, keep me near the cross,
There a precious fountain;
Free to all, a healing stream,
Flows from Calv'ry's mountain.

Refrain:

In the cross, in the cross
Be my glory ever,
Till my ransomed soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross, a trembling soul,
Love and mercy found me;
There the Bright and Morning Star
Shed His beams around me. [Refrain]

Have a blessed time listening to this piece.
