A natural emotion - Monomad Challenge

This is my perception of nature in black and white. I had previously published a series of photographs of this same place in Cachamay Park in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, but there were still details to share, like this series of photos where I continue to showcase the contrast that nature has in black and white. It's subtle and beautiful; each of the scenes has its own magic that fits perfectly into the monochromatic visual world. We move away from color to appreciate the harmony that black and white offers. Well, that's always the idea when I take these kinds of photographs.

Just as a painter is drawn to the beauty of nature and makes it their craft to capture what they see, that's what I do. It's everything I see that seems perfect for a photograph, from my point of view, because it's not something that will appeal to everyone, but it's what I like to do. Of course, many people can reach the same conclusion or share the same appreciation for what I see.

It's a play of silhouettes against the sun, a way of highlighting the texture of a plant barely touched by a ray of light, or the scene of a waterfall with its waters eternally cascading, creating that soothing sound. This is also what I want to capture: to try to convey through these images what I have witnessed, beyond simply admiring the beauty of the subjects. Ultimately, these are some of the things one tries to achieve with photography, as with documentary or journalistic photography, where information is conveyed or a single image stirs the emotions of the viewer.
