5 Minute Freewrite: Sound check
After the last chord, Donnie Caruso put down the guitar and grabbed the mic.
“Thank you very much, guys,” he said, and then, loudly: “Bang.”
“Are you OK, buddy?” said Jimmy from the console.
“Totally! That was a great soundcheck, wasn’t it?”
“Indeed.”
Donnie smiled. As he went backstage, he patted on his pocket. The .38 was there: loaded, shiny, ready.
